Sikander Singh, Inde

I am Sikander Singh, working as a freelance artist for over eighteen years. I presently reside in Chandigarh. I have made several water-based, oil-based and acrylic paintings, and work mainly in watercolour and oil today.

My endeavour is to capture the essence of a character through portraiture, and to bring forth the nuances of the colours of nature in landscapes. I also train students preparing for the entrance examinations of various prestigious art colleges.

Art is a window towards the world, and I wish that the young generation feels everything from the heart and then makes attempts to portray it on canvas. Art connects a person to the Almighty and is sacred for that reason. My family, friends, appreciators and students are my strengths, and I would expect their support throughout my life to learn and do more.
