Ishaanveer Singh, Inde
Portrait Artist, Graphite & Watercolour
I am a student at the National Institute of Design (NID), Haryana, with a deep-rooted passion for art and visual expression. I have been drawing since the 4th grade, and over the years art has grown from a childhood interest into an important part of who I am.
My primary mediums are graphite and watercolour, each allowing me to explore a different side of my artistic expression. I particularly enjoy working with portraits, as I find the human face and its subtle expressions endlessly fascinating. Through my drawings I try to capture not just a likeness, but the mood, character and emotions that make each person unique.
My journey at NID has further shaped the way I observe and interpret the world around me. I am constantly experimenting, learning and refining my approach to art, while staying connected to the traditional joy of simply putting pencil or brush to paper.
For me, art is a way of observing, feeling and communicating. Every portrait has a story, and every artwork is an attempt to preserve a moment, an expression or an emotion. Through my work I hope to create pieces that feel personal and meaningful to the people who bring them into their own spaces.
